The South African Mathematics Foundation (SAMF) extends its heartfelt gratitude to Professor Seithuti Moshokoa, who has retired from the SAMF Board of Directors after more than nine years of exemplary service. Prof Moshokoa joined the Board in August 2015 and contributed to SAMF’s mission with a passion for advancing mathematics education, outreach, and development in South Africa.
Prof Moshokoa, lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Tshwane University of Technology (TuT) and representative of the South African Mathematical Society has been a cornerstone of the SAMF Board. As a teacher and researcher, he has inspired countless students and colleagues alike, helping to elevate mathematics standards in academia and beyond.
His tenure on the Board was marked by unwavering dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to mathematical excellence. Prof Moshokoa's insights and leadership in promoting mathematics have significantly contributed to SAMF's initiatives, from school-level outreach to the strategic growth of our educational programmes.
