🌟 The SA leg for foundation phase learners is available in all South Africa's official languages reinforcing our commitment to mother-tongue based education thereby enhancing the language needed for mathematics engagement and learning.
The Kangourou sans Frontières is an international association founded in France, formed by maths lovers from all over the world. Fulfilling its mission of popularizing mathematics, specifically through a competition whose problems showcase the beauty of mathematics and inspire millions of students in over 100 countries to develop their problem-solving skills and increase their interest in mathematics.
SAMF became a member of the AKSF in 2022 and our official representative is Herman Bosman ([email protected]).
The 2026 South African leg caters for the foundation phase and will take place from 13 April to 29 May. The multiple-choice questions are fun and playful, and are less reliant on the maths syllabus.
Teachers can schedule the contest any time until 31 May 2026 and write online or download and print the question paper.
